Becker- April Bailey, 35, died Thursday, December 10, 2015 at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. Born October 3, 1980 in West Point, MS she was a daughter of Bill Bailey and Debbie Knight.
April was graduate of Hatley High School Class of 1999. She was employed as a Crane Operator for Weyerhauser Timber in Columbus, where she loved her job. As a devoted and loving mother her 3 children were the pride of her life, always staying busy making memories with them. Someone who loved life and lived life to its fullest, she enjoyed cooking, hanging out with her friends and singing karaoke. With a strong faith in God, it was April’s desire and determination to be baptized while in the hospital, which became a reality. With her faith and determination she ultimately won a hard and courageously fought battle with cancer.
She is survived by her mother and father, Bill Bailey and Debbie Knight, Becker; daughter, Bailey Lawrence, Becker; sons, Chance Bailey and Drew Cullins, Becker; brothers, Steven Bailey, Nebraska, Mason Crawford, Meridian, Billy Bailey (Debra), Wisconsin and Chris Pickle, Amory; sisters, Roxanne Bailey Snider (Billy), Columbus, Roberta Bailey, Wisconsin, Joy Hendrix (Brad), Columbus, Diane Grace and Betsy Grace, both of Columbus; grandparents, Stanley and Joan Reeves, Becker and Eugene Knight, Tupelo; special friends, Melissa Collier, Cody Thrasher, Ashley Gillian, Lisa Meggs and Brooke Porter Edwards along with many more friends, coworkers, Aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by a brother, Robert Bailey; grandparents, Jack and Shirley Bailey; Uncle, Richard Bailey; great aunt and uncle, Marion and Burnette Bailey.
A Funeral Service will be held at 2 PM, Wednesday, December16, 2015 at Cleveland-Moffett Funeral Home in Amory, with burial to follow in Greenbrier Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Daniel Clardy, Wesley Lawrence, Chris Pickle, Austin Knight, Mike Reeves and Ronald Doty. Honorary pallbearers will be the employees of Weyerhauser and Dairy Kream in Tupelo.
Visitation will be Tuesday evening at the funeral home from 5-8PM.
