Anne Wicker Seavey Bean, 90, passed away on Sunday, April 21, 2024, at River Place Nursing Home in Amory. She was born in Monroe County on January 6, 1934, to C.E. and Merle Wicker Seavey. She graduated from Okolona High School and worked for 36 years for Lift, Inc. as an assistant head start teacher where she had a profound impact on countless children. For many years, she was a representative for Luzier Cosmetics, and she enjoyed researching her family genealogy. A member of Okolona Christian Church, she also enjoyed spending time with her family.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, at Cleveland-Moffett Funeral Home in Amory with Bobby Cleveland officiating, and Andy Anderson delivering the eulogy. Burial will follow in Oddfellows Rest Cemetery.
She is survived by her son, Eddie Bean (Ginger) of Okolona; her daughter, Leigh Ann Strawbridge (Steve) of Amory; one sister, Nell Anderson of Tupelo; grandchildren, Elizabeth Bean (Reece James), Ethan Bean (Kayla), and Austin Strawbridge; and great grandchildren, Kolton, Seavey, and Ellie.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John Bean; baby sister whom she loved dearly, Martha Frances Seavey; and an infant brother.
Pallbearers will be Andy Anderson, Van Anderson, Terry Gaskin, Ethan Bean, Reece James, and Austin Strawbridge.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until the service hour at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
