Anna Russell

Anna Morgan Russell, 27, of Smithville, Mississippi, passed away on Tuesday, September 17, 2019 at North Mississippi Medical Center in Amory, Mississippi with her parents, sister, and fiancé by her side. Anna was a native of Indianola, Mississippi. She graduated from Indianola Academy in 2011. At the time of her death Anna was enjoying being a Mom and spending time with her young son, Myles and soon to be stepchildren Addyson, Alyvia, and Avery. Anna has been described as someone who brought light to a room when she walked in. She had a fun and carefree personality with a beautiful smile. She enjoyed adventures and lived life to the fullest. She had a heart for helping others and was a willing organ donor at the time of her death. May her light live on through her gift of life to others. She is survived by her 20 month old son, Myles Strevel, her fiancé Joseph Strevel, her fiancés children Addyson, Alyvia and Avery all of Amory, parents Teresa Morgan (Craig) of Isola and Randy Russell of Canton, sister Amber Hunter (Josh) of Freeport, Florida, brother Tyler Russell of Brandon, stepsister Micah Morgan of Grenada, stepbrother Brent Morgan of Oxford, grandparents Barbara and Jimmy Russell of Savannah, TN , Shirley and Jessie McCrory of Carrollton, nephews Eli and Barrett Hunter, and her mother’s twin who was a second mother to Anna, Lisa Johnson (Tony) of Indianola. Visitation will be held on Sunday September 22nd from 5:00-8:00 PM at Boone Funeral Home in Leland. Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 23rd at 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church in Leland, with Bro. Justin Myers and Bro. John Doler officiating. Burial will follow at Stoneville Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Josh Hunter, Brent Morgan, Tyler Conwill, Brad Mann, Shannon Boyles and Timmothy Dobbs. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to French Camp Academy or the Humane Society. Cleveland Moffett Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
