Bertha Ann Harris Myatt, 63, passed away on Saturday, March 28, 2020 at Diversicare in Amory. Ann was born on July 24, 1956 in Amory to Grady Harris and Mary Hughes Bradshaw. Growing up in Smithville, she graduated from Smithville High School and later married Walter Myatt in 1985. Prior to her retirement in 2018, she worked in the lunchroom at Hatley School where she also drove a school bus. Ann loved horses showing walking horses all across the Southeast winning numerous blue ribbons. She won a show in Shelbyville, TN with her horse, Country Cash, who can still be seen being shown. She enjoyed camping lodging in many of the nation’s parks and campgrounds even traveling to Mexico. Ann was a member of Freedom Baptist Church in Smithville.
Private family services will be held at Turon Cemetery. Cleveland-Moffett Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include her mother, Mary Bradshaw of Smithville; husband, Walter Myatt of Smithville; two sons, Corey Gray (Candie) of Smithville and Casey Gray (Leigh Ann) of Amory; one daughter, Alyssa Langley (Jackey) of Plantersville; two brothers, Mike Cox of Smithville and Jerry Harris (Roma) of Smithville; two sisters, Janice DeLeon (Ray) of Edingburg, TX and Brenda Goodin (Harold) of Aberdeen; grandchildren, Lanie Gray, Brayden McDonald, Saylior Brooke Gray, Kason, Kaidon, and Kahlie Langley; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins; and special friends, Bedford Knowles, Roger Riley, and Jack Knowles.
She was preceded in death by her father; her step-father, Odis Bradshaw; and friend, Buster Davis.
