Ann Fussell

Ann Wiggins Fussell, 87, passed away on Friday, February 21, 2025 at Diversicare Nursing Home in Amory. She was born on March 12, 1937 in Caledonia to Charles Douglas and Gladys Inez Dodson Wiggins and she was a graduate of Caledonia High School. Growing up, she, along with her siblings, worked the farm from picking cotton to canning vegetables. In school she was heavily involved in the FFA and received the FFA Sweetheart recognition. She was the widow of Bob Fussell and for many years prior to her retirement, she worked as a secretary and in funeral home preneed sales. Ann was an accomplished seamstress who loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church but attended New Hope Baptist Church in Amory.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Sunday, February 23, 2025 at Cleveland-Moffett Funeral Home with Bro. Chuck Moffett officiating. Burial will follow in the Rowan Cemetery in Caledonia.

She is survived by two daughters, Jan Tidwell of Amory and Becky Fussell of Smithville; one brother, Joe Wiggins, Millport, AL; one sister, Dorothy Curtis, Corinth; grandchildren, Jason Minga (Regina), Jeremy Minga, and Cassandra Morris; great grandchildren, Amber Bonner (Brandon), Anna Minga, Jacob Minga, Marlee Morris, and Maddox Morris; and great-great grandchild, Eleanor Bonner.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bob Fussell, brothers, Mitchell D. Wiggins and Tommy Wiggins; and sister, Inez Adair.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation will be from 5 until 7 p.m. on Saturday evening.

Memorials may be made to Lebonheur Children’s Hospital.
