Angelia Rena Pearson Armstrong, 61, passed away on Tuesday, September 10, 2019 in Monroe County as the result of an automobile accident. Born in Amory on January 26, 1958, Angie was a daughter to Herschel David and Ellen Virginia Carter Pearson. She attended Amory schools and as a skilled worker, she was in the area furniture factories before becoming disabled. A lover of the outdoors, she enjoyed arrowhead hunting and fishing. She loved spending time with her family and friends and had a special connection to all children often spoiling her grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Angie was a member of Grace Fellowship Baptist Church and had a deep love for the Lord. She used her talents to teach children’s Bible class. She loved her dog, Pheobe, making memories, and going to festivals and concerts.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, September 13, 2019 at Cleveland-Moffett Funeral Home in Amory with Bro. Danny Burks officiating. Burial will follow in Liberty Cemetery.
Survivors include her mother, Virginia Pearson of Amory; husband, Tommy Armstrong of Amory; three sons, Daniel Robert Pace (Candi) of Hamilton, AL, Randy Armstrong and Tony Armstrong both of Southaven; 3 brothers, Van Wesley Pearson of Smithville, Phillip Darwin Pearson (Lisa) of Amory, and Jackie Lynn Pearson (Iris) of Amory; grandchildren, Robert Pace, Holly Rena Pace, Dekota Hood, Samantha Mullen, and Lane Mullen; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Holly Dannett Pace; brother, David Pearson; and her father.
Pallbearers will be Randy Armstrong, Matt Pearson, Michael Pearson, Josh Pearson, Eric Markey, and Joe Shackelford.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
