Amy Jo Hester

Amy Jo Hester, 75, passed away on Thursday, January 4, 2024 at her home in Amory.  Born on August 16, 1948, she was a daughter to Bro. Arthur and Margaret Eubanks D’Haillecourt.  She graduated Nettleton High School and later attended Itawamba Junior College and for 31 years she was office manager at Diversicare Nursing Home.  She was a member of Cason Baptist Church and she loved watching television and spending time with her family.  She was a huge fan of the Atlanta Braves.

A memorial service will be at 7 p.m. on Monday, January 8, 2023 at Cleveland-Moffett Funeral Home with Bro. Sammy McMillan officiating.  

She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Cooper (Scott) of Nettleton; one sister, Joni Hood of Amory; one brother, Barry D’Haillecourt; 4 grandchildren, Elizabeth Rhudy (Blake), Courtney Fowlkes (Brandon), Sam Cooper, and John Michael Cooper; 6 great grandchildren, Jaiden, Carson, Noland, and Bennett Rhudy; and Jace and Naomi Fowlkes.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Judy D’Haillecourt; and brother, Hank D’Haillecourt.

Visitation will be on Monday evening from 5 p.m. until the service hour.
