Jerad Alan Smith, 35, died on Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at his home in the Bethlehem Community. Born November 3, 1981 in Amory he was a son of Ronald Wayne Smith and Cynthia Louise Adams Josey. He attended Smithville Schools and he attended Antioch Baptist Church and Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church. His hobbies included fishing, hunting, and motorcycle riding. His greatest joy in life was being a father to his sons, Gauge and Bentley. Before becoming disabled, he worked for Hydrovac in Columbus. He enjoyed being with his family and friends.
Funeral services for Jerad will be at 2 p.m. on Sunday, May 7, 2017 at the Cleveland-Moffett Funeral Home in Amory with Bro. Donald Edge, Bro. Robert Earl Fowlkes, and Rev. Jason Clifton officiating. Burial will be in the Greenbrier Cemetery.
Survivors include his father, Ronnie Smith (Beth) of Athens; his mother, Cynthia Josey (Jimmy) of McCool, MS; two sons, Gauge Smith of Tupelo and Bentley Smith of the Bethlehem Community; three brothers, Nick Smith (Elizabeth) of the Carolina Community, Andrew Brooks of McCool, MS, and Robert Pullen (Shawna) of the Athens Community; nieces and nephews, Abbie, Sam, and Aura Smith; his grandparents, Joe and Louise Adams of Alabama and Etoy Chism of Wren; his fiancé, Page Taylor; and a host of aunt, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by Taylor Smith.
Pallbearers will be Chris Roberson, Austin Taylor, Dale Otts, Joe Adams, Josh Adams, and Kirk Adams.
Visitation will be 5 until 8 p.m. on Saturday evening at the funeral home.
